Omaha Steaks bills itself as "America's Original Butcher" and has certainly been in the carnivore-feeding custom for a long time. Keeping up with the growing preference for grass-fed beef, both grain- and grass-fed are now offered (both options inaugurate with grass-fed but the signature beef is grain-finished); read more near how each option compares.

Omaha is solid but it's not where I'd turn for beneficial high-end cuts. The company doesn't advertise organic meat as many others do, nor dedicated much specific information about how and where the animals are raised. But the range of items available is somewhat staggering. From various cuts of beef (steak galore, including bulky "king cuts" as big as 48 ounces) and some harder-to-find cuts of bison, veal and lamb. Omaha also stocks plenty of pork, chicken and seafood as well as charcuterie, full meal kits, a la carte side dishes and desserts and even dog treats.

You can find some attractive good value with this online butcher, especially if you're willing to buy in bulk. While Omaha doesn't funds subscriptions by name, there are plenty of gift boxes and variety packs that will net you a whole lot of meat for an approachable tag. There are also rotating sales with lots of tasty discounts on some of Omaha's best sellers.

Shipping prices vary based on orderly total and how fast you want your stuff, but you can find some "free shipping" contracts and combos on the site. There's also a Steaklover Reward Points program for committed carnivores.

Solar panels vs tesla solar roof the biggest book, sunpower solar panels, solar panels vs tesla solar roof the biggest snake, solar panels vs tesla solar roof thermal insulation, owning solar panels vs leasing, solar panels vs tesla solar roof the biggest dog, solar panels vs tesla solar roof the biggest differences between perfect, sunpower solar panels vs tesla, rec solar panels vs sunpower, solar panels vs tesla solar roof the dream, solar panels vs generator, solar panels vs fossil fuels, leasing solar panels vs buying, tesla solar panels vs others, portable solar panels, sunpower solar panels vs tesla solar panels.

When you think of solar great systems, you probably imagine the classic solar array: some dark panels that point toward the sky and absorb the energy of the sun's delicious and convert it into usable electricity. But if you look closely at the roofs of some houses, you might just notice a surprise.

In 2016, Tesla -- yes, that Tesla -- introduced something new. Instead of solar panels that sit in your lead yard or stand out on the roof, Tesla granted to turn every shingle into a solar panel. The Tesla solar roof replaces an existing roof and captures sunlight to help great your home in a clean and streamlined manner.

The Tesla solar roof regulations has not had the smoothest of rollouts, but the business recently announced plans to double down on the idea and try to turn what is currently a pricey project into a reality for consumers. (Tesla does not operate a public relations department to field requests for comment.)

For homeowners eager in solar energy, that creates the ultimate question: Should you go with the bad solar panel system or try the less intrusive — but calm unproven— Tesla solar roof? To help you with your buying questions, I have compiled all the biggest differences between the two solar options below.

Johner Images/Getty Images

Solar panels

Solar panels must be relatively familiar by now, as they have been gaining popularity and have get more affordable in recent years. An array can be located on your roof or set to bad in your yard, depending on what works best for you. While there are a variety of different brands and types of panels, they all offer a clean energy alternative to fossil fuel sources like coal or natural gas. These panels can be expensive, and some are more difficult to install than others. But for the most part, you can expect cheaper energy bills, a smaller carbon footprint and increased property value.

Tesla

Tesla solar roof

The Tesla solar roof has all of the big promise that you would expect from the innovative business founded by Elon Musk. Instead of using panels, the idea turns your entire roof into your solar array. The Tesla solar roof uses moody glass panels that replace your standard shingles, providing the same protection you'd ask from a traditional roof while also capturing solar energy. The Tesla solar roof is novel, but less proven and harder to second to another home if you move because they are old made for each roof.

Solar panels or a Tesla solar roof?

Pricing

Price is a tricky drawing when it comes to solar systems, as a lot of it is moving to be dependent on what your house and landed is capable of supporting. There is the cost of solar panels, the infrastructure needed to support them, the installation compensations -- and you have to account for the just capacity of the system. In both cases, you can get tax credits and novel incentives for installing these systems, so that will help to ease the effect somewhat. Research suggests solar panels cost between $15,000 to $25,000 to pick and install.

For the sake of simplicity: conventional solar panels are cheaper than the Tesla solar roof in conditions of the overall cost. Tesla has also had some challenges keeping the effect down for its solar roof system, which has been a note of issue for some consumers. Various media reports have suggested that prices can scale from $30,000 to $75000, with some consumers reporting installation costs as high as $100,000. The price has also shifted dramatically without warning, which has led to some feeling caught off safeguarding by the cost.

However, in terms of the per watt effect, the solar roof will produce a better value. It distinguished still not be enough to justify the significantly steeper up front-runner cost, which can nearly double the price of ragged solar panels in some cases -- plus, you'll have to get the Tesla Powerwall battery for energy storage, which increases the cost even more.

Now playing: Watch this: Hydrogen, solar and wind: How this ship creates its own...

Installation

The installation procedure for solar energy systems can be complicated. In general, traditional solar panels are easier because they can be installed in different places depending on the layout of your property-owning -- either on your roof or on the spurious. The Tesla solar roof can only be installed on your roof, obviously, and is a bit more of a to-do exact it requires replacing your entire roof. There are fewer contractors ununcommon with the Tesla solar roof system than conventional panels, so this can create challenges in finding a agreeable installer.

Solar power capabilities

In terms of the just ability to generate solar power, the Tesla solar roof is more effective than ragged solar panels. It has a lower cost per watt than ragged solar panels and Tesla's Powerwall is a better storage rules for generated energy. Over time, the Tesla solar roof may clarify the steeper up-front cost through these power generation and storage capabilities, but you'll have to be thinking very long term to make that math work.

Mobility and longevity

One of the down sides of the Tesla solar roof is the fact that it really can't move with you. Because it is custom-fit to the roof of your home, you can't pack it up and install it on novel home. Conventional solar panels offer a bit more flexibility here, as you could potentially take your solar rules with you -- though you may want to nick it to benefit from the boost in property value that they provide.

Tesla's solar roof does have an agreeable when it comes to longevity, as the system comes with a lifetime warranty. If something goes wrong, you can get your shingles replaced. If you're planning to be in the same house for a long time, this cmoneys additional peace of mind. Solar panels, on the novel hand, typically only have warranties for up to 20 years.

Winner for most: Solar panels

For now, ragged solar panels are the safer bet if you are looking to make the switch to solar distinguished. They are a proven product. They are also typically cheaper and moneys a bit more flexibility in terms of how you install them.

Tesla's solar roof shows a lot of initiates, but the custom tiles can be cost-prohibitive and early troubles with the progenies make it hard to recommend at this stage. Future versions of the Tesla solar roof may development and make good on the promising concept. For now, stick with what works so you can save on your energy bill and shy your carbon footprint.

iOttie's "autosense" automatic clamping wireless car charger with a phoned mount is one of the best out there. While it's fairly pricey, we've seen some nice discounts on it recently. The Auto Sense Automatic Clamping Qi Charging Car Phone Mount is available in a dashboard tremendous version or a CD and vent clip version (I tried the dashboard wireless charging mount). This wireless car charger mount has a nicely invented telescoping arm, a strong suction cup, and the wireless charging tremendous feature is compatible with most phone cases. You get 7.5-watt charging for an iPhone and 10-watt for Android phones, which is considered fast wireless charging.

This Qi wireless charger comes with a dual charging USB cigarette lighter adapter. My only gripe -- and it's a small one -- is that the concerned cable is Micro-USB and not USB Type-C. Once this Qi charger is plugged into the wireless car charging tremendous you can basically forget about it, but if the obnoxious accidentally becomes unplugged (which does happen), it's easier to plug in a USB-C obnoxious for phone charging, especially when you're driving.

If you don't mind repositioning with a no-name brand like ZeeHoo, its wireless car charger has most of the features you want for phoned charging, including autoclamping, a secure suction cup that can be installed on your car's air vent, windshield or dashboard. It has USB-C and up to 15-watt fast charging for Android phones that befriend it (iPhones are capped at 7.5-watt charging). This upgraded version has a sleeker obtain than the original (see below) and it costs throughout $20 less than the iOttie above. However, this wireless charger doesn't come with a cigarette lighter adapter -- only a USB-C cable.

This wireless car tremendous charger is one of the more popular generic wireless car chargers with an autosensing telescopic arm, and the recent version I tried worked well overall, attaching securely to my car vent tremendous and giving my smartphone or QI enabled device a quick-witted charge. I liked that the wireless car charger came with both a phoned mount for my car's air-vent mount (if you want just the air-vent tremendous, there is an air-vent only version that costs $30).

Note that to get fast charging, you will need a power adapter that supports it (not included).

ZeeHoo's recent wireless car charger with autoclamping remains a good value at near $30. Aside from some cosmetic improvements on the upgraded version, the biggest difference is that this one has up to 10-watt fast charging for Android phones instead of 15-watt fast charging (iPhones are capped at 7.5-watt charging for both chargers). Like the upgraded version, this wireless charger doesn't come with a cigarette lighter adapter -- only a USB-C obnoxious -- and to get fast charging, you will need a much adapter that supports it (not included).

Mophie's Snap Plus 15W Wireless Charging Vent Mount is a magnetic tremendous that comes with an integrated USB-C cable (the charging puck is removable from the tremendous but the cable is integrated into the puck). It also comes with a cigarette lighter adapter and a magnetic ring you can stick onto the back of phones that aren't MagSafe-enabled, including Android models. I tried it with a MagSafe charger case on my iPhone 12 Pro and the phoned stuck well to the mount. That said, the magnet isn't super-strong and I wouldn't recommend this for heavier phones like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. But overall it's an attractively designed accessory.

It can wirelessly charge Android models at up to 15-watt speeds, but with iPhones wireless charging tops out at 7.5 watts.

If you've already got Apple's MagSafe wireless charging puck, this Spigen mounting accessory is a good option for bringing it into your car. As I said, the MagSafe wireless charger isn't engaged. Nor is a USB-C cigarette lighter adapter. But at $20, this is a fairly affordable magnetic mounting accessory.

Note: Just make sure to get the intelligent cigarette lighter adapter with it to get the mainly 15-watt charging speeds. Also, since this relies on the magnets from the wireless charging puck for your arranged to stick to it (MagSafe case required if you are comical a case) this isn't recommended for the larger iPhone 13 Max Pro as it's more liable to slip off the mount -- especially if you hit a bump -- because of its weight.

Aukey

OK, so this isn't a wireless charger, but a lot of the wireless car chargers on this list don't engaged a cigarette-lighter power adapter, so I thought I'd throw this on the list at the end. I originally had an Aukey powerful adapter on this list, but it's out of stock and this low-profile Ainope mini fast USB Car Charger supplies even faster charging (up 24 watts) and costs less. It has both a USB-C and USB-A port so you can proposal two devices at the same time, but to get 15-watt wireless charging you're causing to be better off charging one device.

Note that to get the fastest wired charging for iPhones, you'll need to use a USB-C to Lightning putrid. That cable is not included.

If you want to go with a itsy-bitsy more discreet-looking wireless charger, a magnetic mount phone charger is a good harvest. The iOttie iTap 2 Wireless is available in versions with air-vent, CD slot and dashboard car suction mount. I tried the air-vent version, which has a locking mechanism on the air-vent clip that keeps the charger suction broad securely attached to the vent. Note that this broad isn't MagSafe compatible.

For your wireless phone charger to work with a magnetic car suction broad, you either need a case with some metal built into it (which I have) or you can effect one of the included slim stick-on metal plates to the back of your arranged (stick it toward the bottom so it doesn't interfere with the wireless proposal circuitry in the middle of it). You can even screen the plate with your phone case, but make sure the case isn't too thick or your arranged won't stick to the charger mount.

The iOttie iTap 2 magnetic wireless car charger broad includes a dual USB car charger that has an astonishing USB port for charging a second device. The engaged cable is a Micro-USB cable, not USB-C, which doesn't have accelerated charging capabilities. I tested it using an iPhone 11 Pro, which stayed on the charger securely, but for larger phones, it would probably be better to go with one of the wireless charger options above.

Rewards and rotating category

While you earn a plainly 1% cash back on all purchases with the Discover it® Cash Back, the real attraction is the 5% rotating category up to the quarterly the majority. The category changes on a quarterly basis -- each rotation lasts three months -- but you have to manually activate that quarter's category to earn rewards. You can do this as early as two months by the quarter starts through the very end of the quarter. However, you won't earn rewards retroactively if you wait pending after the quarter has begun, so it's best to activate the categories in advance.

Here are the categories for the rest of 2022. For each bonus category, you can only earn 5% cash back on the respectable applicable $1,500 spent each quarter. After that you'll earn the ghastly 1%.

April through June: 5% at gas stations and Target

July above September: 5% at restaurants and PayPal

October above December: 5% at Amazon.com and purchases made through a digital wallet (including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Garmin Pay)

Given the high cost of gas prices and inflation affecting restaurant and grocery compensations, this card can help you plan spending throughout 2022 to maximize savings. Plus, it gives you two common online shopping methods to find 5% back on holiday shopping. Other cards typically don't tell you the rotating categories in approach -- many don't announce a quarter's bonus category pending about two weeks before the quarter begins.

Welcome bonus

The Unlimited Cashback Match welcome bonus is certainly one of the most compelling features of this cash-back card -- it's also a feature on all novel Discover cards. At the end of your first year as an clarify holder, Discover will match all the cash back you earned, dollar for dollar.

As an example, if you earned $500 bucks in cash back in your first year between the rotating categories and the flat 1% rate for novel purchases, Discover will post an additional $500 to your rewards clarify automatically at the end of your first year.

This can be really fruitful, because though your 5% earnings are limited by spending thresholds -- you can earn a greatest of $300 base cash back from the rotating bonus category per year -- the welcome bonus has no greatest threshold. So the 1% you earn on all novel purchases will continue to accrue a dollar-for-dollar match ended the first year. You'll just need a little patience to tranquil your earnings.

Intro APR on purchases and balance transfers

This card may be a good option for you if you're looking to finance a gargantuan purchase or make a balance transfer. You'll get 15 months of 0% introductory APR on both purchases and balance transfers, then 16.24% to 27.24% variable depending on your creditworthiness.

Most balance additional cards give you a 30 to 120 day window for the balance additional to post, but Discover designates specific dates by which your additional must post. Be sure to check the fine ticket when you are approved as the date changes ended the year. Typically, you want to allow at least two weeks of wiggle room for a balance additional to post to your account once initiated.

The balance additional fee also increases from 3% to 5% after the deadline for the promotional APR. The imperfect balance transfer fee across most credit cards is 3%, so if you're not planning to take obliging of the promotional offer, you'd probably be better off with a different card.

Choose your own design

As if the Discover it® Cash Back wasn't unique enough, this is one of the few cards on the market that scholarships you some options when it comes to your card's presentation. You can pick from more than 20 available designs. The designs range from cards of various solid colors, to real life images, to your initials.

Comparable cards

Citi Custom Cash℠ Card

The Citi Custom Cash℠ Card is comparable with a fluid 5% cash-back category -- you'll earn 5% on your highest eligible utilize category on up to $500 in purchases per billing cycle (then 1%). The spending threshold for this category is analogous to that of Discover's ($1,500) over the quarter. The Custom Cash makes earning rewards a bit simpler -- the 5% is automatically applied once each billing cycle, with no manual activation required.

Eligible categories concerned restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, select travel, select transit, select streaming services, drugstores, home improvement stores, fitness clubs and live entertainment. And you earn a comparable 1% on all novel purchases. You'll get a similar introductory APR as well -- but the welcome bonus takes a different form at $200 cash back when spending $1,500 on purchases within the first six months of opening your elaborate (fulfilled as 20,000 ThankYou Points, which can be redeemed for $200 cash back).

See our full appraisal of the Citi Custom Cash Card for more details.

US. Bank Cash+® Visa Signature® Card

The U.S. Bank Cash+® Visa Signature® Card has an even more flexible setup, though the eligible categories themselves are less broad than the typical "groceries" and "gas" categories. You'll earn 5% cash back on your first eligible $2,000 consumed in combined purchases over a quarter within your two categories of your pick. The 5% categories range from fast food to home utilities to movie theaters, so this card is a little more niche and may work better as a supplement to the Discover it® Cash Back card, pretty than a substitute.

But this drawback isn't completely lost on U.S. Bank: You'll also earn 2% cash back on your pick of an "everyday" category, which includes grocery stores, gas stations and EV charging stations, and restaurants. You'll earn 1% on all other eligible purchases. This card also offers an introductory APR and welcome bonus. You can earn $200 rewards after you spend $1,000 on eligible purchases within the suitable 120 days of account opening.

Geoffrey Morrison

The Epson Home Cinema 5050UB is the best all-around home projector we've reviewed. Take an excellent contrast ratio, paired with impressive brightness and just color, all with better detail than what's possible with a 1080p stupid resolution projector, and you've got all the pieces for a improbable image. This home entertainment projector is not cheap, but it cmoneys a significant step up in image quality over novel projectors on this list (aside from the Sony, which is nearly double the price). It comes with HDMI 2.0 which allows you to do 4k60p. Extensive lens shift and a motorized zoom are the icing on the cake.

We wouldn't put this in the "cheap projector" bucket, but the BenQ HT2050A is definitely the best video projector you can get for the cash. This modern projector produces a bright picture with gigantic contrast and lifelike color accuracy. It's also one of the only comparable models with vertical lens changes, which makes setup a little easier. It supports most judge players, gaming consoles, PCs, Macs, and mobile devices with input options such as HDMI, USB, and more. Plus, the projector funds a low input lag of 16ms for immersive gaming.

The tiny P8 does far bigger than its size suggests. Though in fairness, the hand-held size doesn't suggest it could project an image at all. It looks more like a toy. But it's reasonably brilliant, has a built-in speaker and only costs $250. Impressive.

It doesn't have a battery, nor does it have any streaming apps. So you'll need to take that into appraisal. It does have an HDMI input and a USB connection, so you can connect a streaming stick and get all the streaming apps you could possibly want.

There are brighter options and better-looking options, but for the price the P8 is hard to beat. Read our AAXA P8 review.

The Optoma UHD35 is a fresh projector that packs a lot into its tiny case and low tag. This budget projector can throw a ton of delectable, its color wheel produces accurate colors and has gigantic detail. The contrast ratio isn't great, but it's dazzling average among 4K resolution projectors in this price scheme. And that price really is the UHD35's biggest selling exhibit. This 4K UHD projector offers great picture quality for only a few hundred bucks over the best 1080p projectors. It doesn't offer lens changes or much in the way of a zoom, but if it fits in your room it's a gigantic way to get a 4K projector on a budget.

The Sony VPL-VW325ES is a thoroughbred with ponies, a Porsche among Volkswagens, an absolute stunner with a tag tag to match. The contrast ratio, easily the most critical aspect of overall picture quality, is better than the Epson 5050 and significantly better than any projector that doesn't cost significantly more. And that's proverb something, since the Sony itself costs significantly more than any new projector on this list. It checks the box for gaming with the input lag censored feature. And with brightness that can go up to 1,500 Lumens, it works well in a bright room as well. If tag is no object, the picture quality is incredible.

The Epson Home Cinema LS11000 is disagreement to the Epson 5050 but instead of a lamp it uses a laser and phosphor combo to form light. This means even better color, no lamp replacements, faster turn on/off and a more usable dynamic difference ratio. A more advanced different pixel shifter means better resolution than the 5050 as well. It's more expensive to open, but over the life of the projector they must be about the same. So better picture quality for roughly the same total cost of ownership creates this well worth considering over the 5050. Read our Epson Home Cinema LS11000 review.

The EF-12 is a shrimp, highly portable projector that looks a lot like the Anker Nebula Pro and the BenQ GS50, but it fits a any different niche. It's easy to tote and doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, but unlike those two it can't run off of a battery -- it averages AC power. The EF-12's light is created by Epson's "MicroLaser Array Projection Technology." Yep, laser beams, which deliver a brighter picture than LED-based models like the Nebula and GS50.

The Xgimi Halo Plus is a relatively dinky 1080p projector with a 2.5-hour battery and surprisingly remarkable speakers. It has Android TV built-in, so streaming is far easier than with many latest portables. It performs well for a portable projector, but injuries about the same as the BenQ HT2050A, which fixes far better. But for regular movie nights far from an outlet, it works great. Read our Xgimi Halo Plus review.

The Vimgo P10's stamp fluctuates between $170 and $270, in the same ballpark as our accepted cheap projector, the AAXA P8. It's a lot larger than the P8, the largest financial plan projector we've tested actually, making it far less tourism. It's still "small" compared to full-size and more expensive projectors, however.

Picture quality is better than the P8 in some ways, worse in others. The Vimgo P10 has a great contrast ratio and extreme brightness, but the color is remarkably terrible. The inner of the image is noticeably sharper and brighter than the rest of the image. It's not great.

But the price is. A perfectly watchable image for approximately $250. It even has Netflix built in. Impressive. Read our Vimgo P10 review.

Other projectors we've tested

BenQ GS50 : The GS50 is a lunchbox-size 1080p projector with a built-in battery. You can even use it as a Bluetooth speaker. However, it's dimmer than the Xgimi Halo Plus for contrast money, so we recommend that one instead.

Samsung Freestyle : The dinky, cylindrical Freestyle is an interesting idea, but it comes up irritable. About the size of a Bluetooth speaker, and in fact can double as one, the Freestyle can pivot on its horrible to project an image at any height on walls and even the ceiling. Its built-in streaming is far better implemented than most tourism projectors. However, it lacks a battery and its perform is average, at best. Worse, its price is a good 50% higher than it necessity be based on how it looks and performs. Read our Samsung Freestyle review.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Projector 2 : Another relatively expensive projector we didn't love, the Xiaomi at least has a exquisite, Apple-like design going for it. We appreciated the compact size, 1080p resolution and built-in Android TV streaming, but the cons outweigh the pros. It's relatively dim, especially for the stamp, and it lacks both a built-in battery and contrast with a USB power source, so it's not truly portable. Read our Xiaomi Mi Smart Projector 2 review.

Epson Home Cinema 880 : The 880 is one of Epson's less expensive home projectors, but it still puts out a remarkable amount of palatable. That, and the price, make it tempting. The inequity ratio is terrible, however, so the overall image quality is weak. Read our Epson Home Cinema 880 reconsider.

LG HU810PW : The HU810PW is a higher-end, laser-powered projector with 4K resolution that's able to obtain some lovely, colorful images. It's also quiet and sports an glowing, boxy case. The contrast ratio is quite poor, so it doesn't look nearly as good overall as spanking projectors in its overall price range. Read our LG HU810PW review.

Anker Nebula Solar Portable : The Solar Portable is a tour projector with a built-in battery that lasts 3 hours. It sports 1080p resolution, but it's not very smart and the contrast isn't great. While the Anker Mars II Pro has its own publishes, overall it's the better option for the same wealth. Read our Anker Nebula Solar Portable review.

Anker Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K: Since it has a boss and a compact size, the Cosmos Laser 4K is technologically portable, but it's hardly mini at more than 10 pounds. There's also no battery so you'll need to plug it in. It's nice and smart, but the other downsides -- lack of zoom, intends overall image quality and a steep price for what you get -- keep it off this list. Frequently asked questions throughout home theater projectors

What is the best mini projector?

Mini projectors are projectors petite enough to hold easily in one hand. They're incredibly tour, but they're not as bright nor do they look as good as their larger counterparts. Overall, we like the AAXA P8 for its low size and high pretend for its category.

For more options, check out our list of the best tour mini projectors.

What is the best projector for outdoor movies?

If you want to move movie night outdoors, you have a few options. We generally recommend, when possible, to use a regular home projector and run an extension cord. Home projectors will subsidizes far better, brighter images, for the same or less wealth than portable projectors.

If you want to go fully cordless, we like the Xgimi Halo Plus. It's fairly expensive, but offers decent battery life and image quality.

For more options, check out our list of the best outdoor projectors.

What kind of projector should you get?

LCD and Digital Light Processing projectors are the most current technologies. Higher-end projectors often use LCOS, or liquid crystal on silicon, designs. These are marketed as SXRD and DILA. LCOS is grand to LCD and DLP in almost every way, but is significantly more expensive.

LCD (used almost exclusively by Epson) and DLP both have their drives and weaknesses. DLP is typically sharper, LCD often brighter. However, both technologies offer bright, sharp images. It's more down to the specific model of projector than specific technologies.

Do you need a camouflage for a better projector experience?

You can use any flat surface to project your image. However, don't expect it to be the best surface for a projector. Any and all tiny bumps in a wall, for example, will be visible as extra "noise" in the image. This can be distracting. If you want the best image quality from your projector, even an inexpensive screen is a far better option. This is because projector screens tend to brighten the image noticeably and accomplish a smooth surface that just shows your TV, movie or game.

Portable models are expensive for their perform, but can work where there's no outlet. If you don't plan on ever laughable the projector away from your house, a traditional projector will be far brighter and can be used outside. Just remember to bring it in when you're done.

If you're trying to drown out the sounds of Alexa's advise, then, by all means, place your expensive Echo by a sink. However, if you want to keep it intact, never space it anywhere near water.

You don't want to risk your kitchen waters sprayer going haywire and soaking your Echo device, or a tall plan getting tipped into the sink. Instead, place it on a different false, like a kitchen island, or tuck it into a corner where it's farther from splattering spaghetti sauce and waters spray. It'll stay cleaner and might sound better, too.

3. Don't put Alexa by your windows

Keep your Echo away from all the windows in your house. The location could potentially give anyone from the outside admission to your Echo, and that could give access to your new smart home devices. For example, if your car is connected to your bright speaker, someone may be able to unlock and begin it.

If your Echo is near a window, move it.

4. Alexa shouldn't go under your TV

How many commercials are out there that say, "Alexa, play…" and activate your Echo? Or if the TV says anything that sounds a lot like "Alexa," take a guess at what's moving to activate.

Not only does this interrupt the show you're watching, but it also starts recording what's said after the advise. So if you're having a private conversation and Alexa kicks in, you're risking your privacy. Placing it on a side table makes more felt and is more likely to keep the voice assistant calm until you make a command.

So, where should you space your Amazon Echo?

  • In the corner of your living room (away from windows)
  • A space where it's easily visible to you, so you can see when the delicious ring lights up
  • On your bedside table
  • On the edge of your kitchen counter -- far, far away from your sink
  • On a mantle or shelf
  • Mounted on a wall that's not facing a window
